We had been talking of purchasing a property in Spain for a number of years and decided earlier this year it was time to stop talking about it and get on with it!
It’s only when you look into it seriously that you realise there is potentially a lot of work involved in purchasing a property in a foreign country. We initially trawled through hundreds of estate agents websites looking for our ideal property and getting a feel for the property market. It became evident early on that we needed some professional help and we made what turned out to be the best decision we could have ever made when we contacted Anthony & Sally at Spanish Property Sales. We can honestly say from the first time we spoke with Sally & met up with Anthony we knew we were dealing with honest genuine people who had a wealth of knowledge & experience of the Spanish property market & would be putting our interests first.
We discussed our requirements & budget with Sally who gave us some really useful advice on the properties we had earmarked to view and between us compiled a list of properties we would view when we flew out to Spain. Sally contacted the local estate agents made the appointments and drew up an itinerary for us so we saw as many properties as we could in the time we were there. We met up with Anthony when we arrived in Spain and he kindly transported us around the Moraira area (which we were not familiar with) to view the properties and provide us with his expert impartial view of the properties we saw.
We were lucky enough to find the property we were looking for on our 1st visit to Moraira & Anthony entered into negotiation on our behalf with the vendors agents & secured the property for us at a heavily discounted price. Anthony & Sally have developed an extensive network of contacts in the area and introduced us to an excellent local solicitor who handled all the legal matters for us as well as a number of other companies whose services we used.
You do feel apprehensive in trusting people you have never met before but sometimes in life you have to take a risk and place trust in people and we were repaid many times over for the faith we placed in Anthony & Sally as they saved us an awful lot of wasted time and money as well as taking away all the stresses and worry in purchasing a property abroad.
