Montgo Javea

Montgo Javea

Whilst waiting for clients to arrive on a Javea property viewing trip, I just had to take this picture of the Montgo! at 10.15am 14th Nov 2007
There are many fantastic villas on the Montgo in Javea. All south facing. The Montgo provides the perfect natural barrier preventing cold notherly winds during the winter. It’s a whole different story on the Denia North side, so be warned!

The Javea South side of the Montgo absorbs the heat of the day, providing warmth during the night as it cools down, a bit like a big stone radiator. That said most need air con in the summer months, at least in the bedroom for the same reason.

Too high on the Montgo can be a little exposed to the winds, unless it is in a well sheltered area. It’s also worth noting that the Montgo also attracts the clouds should the weather be a little unsettled but tends to be more on the higher slopes.

Montgo plots are usually upwards of 1500M2, providing privacy and some wonderful gardens. The Montgo main road can be busy, so it’s worth bearing in mind, should you be looking at buying property, it may be too close for comfort.

Most Montgo villas have distant mountain views with wonderful sunsets, I feel the urge to get my camera out again. Perhaps someone already has a sunset picture viewed from the Montgo for me?
