Bodegas

Bodegas

For those interested in wines a visit to the Bodegas in Parcent is worthwhile.
Parcent is a delightful village inland from Benissa. Drive through Benissa in the direction of Calpe and take the right hand fork just outside the village, signposted Jalon. From Jalon continue towards Alkalali, and Parcent is signposted. The journey takes about 45 – 50 minutes from Benissa.

The wines are quite fruity using various grapes including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Tempranillo, etc. for the red wines and Chardonnay, Moscatel Romano, etc. for the white wines. The area is famous for their sweet Moscatel

In 1996 the company started to make wines using grapes from their own land and everything is grown organically and made by hand, including picking, pressing, bottleing and labelling. It took almost ten years of experimenting before they had a range of seven wines, two reds, La Quintana and Comtat de Parcent, two whites, Gra d·Or and Auro, the latter being judged the best white wine at a blind tasting in January of this year, and others.. The bodegas also received the Baco de Bronce award in 2004.

Bodgegas Parcent is situated at Placa del Poble, 4, Parcent. Tel: 636 53 66 93
