This restaurant has now reopened and is under new management. It is situated in the Camino Viejo del Portet, Moraira, and can be reached by driving up the road to the right of Mas y Mas which is on the right hand side as you leave Moraira in the direction of Benitachell. The restaurant is at the top of the road.
On Wednesdays and Thursdays a three course menu del dia is served for €10 and the other days the menu is a-la-carte. There are steaks, home made lasagne, pies, and lots more. Childrens menus are also served. On Sundays between 12.0 asnd 4.0 p.m. there are roast lunches for €7.50.

The restaurant is open from Tuesday until Saturday from 5.0 p.m. until midnight and on Sunday from 12.0 until 6.0 p.m. Meals are served from 6.0 p.m.

This restaurant is the most delightful place for lunch set at La Barraca bay overlooking two small islands in the most glorious setting. There is nothing to spoil the view with only a few fishermans huts on the beach.
To reach the bay take the road out of Javea towards Cala Blanca and continue on the main road to Cabo de la Nao for about two to three kilometres. You will arrive at the signpost to La Barraca and Portixol on the left hand side. Take this road which winds very steeply down to the bay where you can park in spaces provided. Walk down to the beach, turn right, walk across the beach and just round the corner is the restaurant. It is not visible from the start of the beach.

The restaurant serves food from 1.0 . m. until 6.0 p.m. and closes at 7.0 p.m. There is a very large selection of tapas at €6.0, including mussels, stuffed peppers, mushrooms, calamares, pulpo, artichokes, anchovies, small fried fish, sepia, potatoes, chips, also salads are available, plus paella (€9.0) with chicken or fish, pork, sole and much more. There is a very good bodega in Teulada, selling wines and beers at reasonable prices.
You can buy a case of a dozen white, red or rose wines for as little as €12.65 for the case, plus many other wines.

Take the road from Moraira to Teulada and when you reach the roundabout at the top of the hill drive through the main high street (not the dual carriageway). Turn left at the second turning (Calle Benissa) and then second right (Calle Ondara) and the Bodega is on the right hand side at the end of the small blocked road.

Los Almendros Javea

This restaurant is situated on the road from Javea to Jesus Pobre, on the right hand side about one mile from the centre of Javea. It has been completely refurbished and is absolutely delightful. The décor is exquisite with beautiful table linen and stone arches and has four sections, two of which are outside but are completely glassed in. There are very attractive raised murals on the walls.
The menu del dia is €14.0, for three courses, a half bottle of wine per person, a small tapa to begin and coffee. IVA is included. The first courses are varied, there is a soup of the day, avocado with salmon pate, stuffed mussels, mussels in a sauce, roasted vegetables, melon with Serrano ham , two types of salad and stuffed mushrooms. The main courses are lamb chops, sole, chicken, salmon, plus a special of the day, for example, roast lamb. Deserts were also varied, coconut surprise, ice cream, sorbet, flan, etc.

The meal was beautifully served and quite delicious.
